Initially I made the spool holder mod for my Infimech TX Top hat and liked it for the ease of loading and unloading of the filament and decided to port the idea for the people that do not want to make the Top hat.
It's untested but it should be fully compatible with the original fabric top hat.
I made two options one that will keep the spool oriented towards the back and one that will put it on the machines side.
To mount either you will need 3 x M4x16 screws to mount them on the frame.
To install the spool holder, insert the nut in the opening and screw it from the outside.
For the mod to work the best I would recommend you to also print the PTFE guide, it will improve the filament loading process at least 72.5% less annoying if you also print and replace the filament sensor casing with this great mod. You will also need some 4x2 PTFE tube, i didnt measure it, but about 20cm should do.
To secure the PTFE Guide to the machine it will need two 4mm holes. I left a small tab to line it up with the filament sensor holder. Before drilling insert the PTFE tube and mount it to the sensor, then line it to so the PTFE tube is straight then drill the holes. Then secure it with two M4x8 screws and nuts.
For printing use at least 4-5 walls and 25-30% infill, also use supports.
