DO NOT USE THIS MODEL TO CREATE SAFETY GEAR!
THIS MODEL WAS NOT, SHOULD NOT, AND WILL NEVER BE RE/DESIGNED FOR USE AS OR AS A COMPONENT OF SAFETY GEAR.
This model attaches to and holds a Jackson Advantage hard hat suspension in a comfortable shape. As is, the ring doesn't do anything in particular and is intended to be used to design your own head-mounted-things, like a costume head or VR headset mount (no guarantees that the weight of a VR headset will be comfortable). As a result, only a STEP file has been provided.
I have not been able to find just the suspension for sale online, and your best bet to get one may be to buy the whole hard hat, Jackson SKU 20200.
Both the halo and the standalone socket models are available.
Assembly Instructions
The front of the ring/halo/mount is indicated by the flat section shown below.

The opening of the sockets should be oriented downwards, and the clips on the suspension can be inserted into each of their sockets until they click in place and cannot be pulled out easily, as shown below.

Why?
I have been (very, very, very slowly) working on designing a mostly-printed fursuit head, and I decided on using a hard hat suspension to solve the problem of neatly and comfortably resting hard plastic on my head for a long period of time. This model is the mounting pattern and connecting ring that holds the suspension in a shape most comfortable for me.
Since I've gotten this far and think it's pretty useful myself, I decided someone else might like it too.
Why that specific hard hat?
It was the only hard hat I could find at my local industrial supply store that was comfortable for me. I have cochlear implants, and most headgear presses uncomfortably against the coils. This suspension's design means that tightening the ratchet doesn't press against my coils. The below image shows the gap between the coil and the suspension with the coil close to where it is on my own head.
