The original connector only allowed the USB C cable to be connected on the front/back of the babyphone holder. This didn't fit in our case, as we had a wall behind the holder. I simply rotated the base to allow the USB C cable to be connected on the left or right side.
The camera has almost 360 degrees view, so this isn't really an issue when it comes to the possible camera angles.
