Credits to Zapador for the amazing original mod!
This is a replacement of the External Mount part featuring a PC4M10 connector and other small improvements. Note it's not compatible with the spool holder from the original mod.
Print without supports, .stl file has the correct orientation. I used PETG with 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm nozzle, 10% gyroid infill and 2 perimeters.
To assemble the part (follow the images):
- Insert some PTFE tube into the threaded part of the PC4M10 connector
- Insert the assembly into the part, screw in the connector
- Measure and cut the PTFE tube where it exits the part. It's better if the tube is a bit shorter rather than longer
- Insert the tube back into the part.
- Align the part at the back of the printer. To make it easier, push some filament through the part and into the Internal Mount. Note the part bends a bit and allows you to move it up or down. Attach it so that the filament does not rub against the metal profile of the printer.
