Recreated Desk Lamp Base – 3D Printable Replacement Part
I completely rebuilt the broken base of this desk lamp from scratch, faithfully matching the shape of the original black one shown in the photos. The replacement part has already been tested and printed successfully using a certified self-extinguishing filament for extra safety, but it can also be printed perfectly with PETG or any higher-grade material.
For optimal strength and surface quality, the recommended slicer settings are:
0.20 mm layer height for a solid and fast print
0.16 mm layer height if you want a smoother finish
Normal supports only for the upper part of the base
Fuzzy Skin set to 0.4 / 0.2 to create a lightly textured, slightly rough surface that improves grip and gives a nice tactile feel
A 3MF file is available for download, containing all the printing settings exactly as used in the test print. You can either import it directly into your slicer with everything pre-configured or send it to print directly from the platform with no additional setup required.
The model is ready to go: load it, print it, and your lamp will be back in perfect working condition. If you’d like, I can also prepare variants with smoother surfaces or reinforced walls!
