Christmas Train (illuminated)

Often requested and now available: a Christmas version of my Halloween train! The Polar Express is ready to get you in the Christmas spirit. 

This large and elaborate model is the perfect decoration to make children's eyes light up during the cozy Christmas season. The middle car (you can print more than one, of course) can be filled with lots of candy, while the locomotive and car are brought to life with flickering LED tea lights. 

The entire model is available in individual parts, making it easy to print with almost no supports (recommended for the window and door frames) and without a special multi-color printer (AMS/MMU). The parts are then simply assembled or glued together. 

At 100% size, the train (as pictured) is approximately 60 cm long and 15 cm high, with a width of 7.5 cm. A total of 5 LED tea lights up to 40 mm in diameter fit into the train. 3D printing settings 
For optimal results, I recommend the following settings. My BambuLab files are also created accordingly: 
- 2-3 contours 
- 0.2 mm layer height 
- 0.4 mm nozzle 
- 10% infill 

Colors used for my example: 
Of course, you can work with any other color combinations and let your creativity run wild 
- Black (approx. 490 g) 
- Red (approx. 390 g) 
- Gold (approx. 52 g) 
- Transparent (approx. 22 g) 

The printing time is approx. 34 hours for all parts. 

Further printing instructions: 
Some parts change color during printing; this is already included in my Bambu files. All translucent parts should be ironed; all parts with windows and doors, as well as the boiler base, should be printed with a layer height of 0.1 mm. The two roofs should be printed with at least 4 contours so that the light effect works. 

Optional components: 
There are 3 different sizes for the LED light insert, depending on which tea lights you use. Of course, you only need to print the appropriate file. For tea lights larger than 38 mm, simply do not print any insert. 

Assembly: 
Assembly is very simple; all parts are plugged together and glued where necessary. The locomotive comes with comprehensive, illustrated assembly instructions (from the identical Halloween train), after which the assembly of the carriages is self-explanatory. If you want, you can also add steam to the chimney using wire and cotton wool. There is a hole in the chimney for this purpose.
