An adapter to mount your OpenPrintTag onto Prusament spools, part of a modular system for different Spools. The main idea is, that you can reuse the baseplate (with the OpenPrintTag) indefinitely. If you want to use it on a different spool, simply print the matching adapter. Because of this, the backplate is a separate model, which you can download here, including a small jig for helping to install the sticker.
This adapter fits Sunlu-Spools with 73 mm inner diameter and a width of 61 mm. The hole inside this adapter is 38 mm, which should be enough for most spool holders, like the classic Prusa i3 one. All parts can be printed without supports.
Is this model overly complex? Yes, probably. But where's the fun in simple designs :D
The springs in this design are supposed to counter dimensional inaccuracies of the 3d-printed parts and the spools itself. It worked for all spools I tested, I hope it works for yours too.
To install it, place the backplate on a flat surface, put the spool on top of it. Then place the baseplate and spring onto it, press it down.
To uninstall it, slightly pull the backplate outside with your fingers.
