A version of the open channels, but with the cutout extending to the front of the channel

This remix came about when I needed to route a bunch cables from my wall-mounted grid to devices sitting on a shelf in front of it. Because of the small clearance between the shelf and the bottom row of the grid, I could not use the standard straight ‘open’ channel, since its cutouts only go through the sides of the channel.
This model page contains three new styles of cutouts to accommodate this scenario:
- Side cutouts: Slots running perpendicular to the channel and cutting through the walls.
Cutout width: 13mm
Cutout depth: 18mm
- End cutouts (full depth): Slots running lengthwise along the channel at one end.
Two full-depth cutouts can be lined up side-by-side to create a wide fully enclosed slot in the middle of a channel/bridge.
Cutout width: 13mm
Cutout depth: 18mm
- End cutouts (half depth): Same as the above, but the cutouts are only half as deep.
Two half-depth cutouts can be lined up side-by-side to create a fully enclosed hole in the middle of a channel/bridge.
Cutout width: 13mm
Cutout depth: 9mm
The following pieces are available (with variants of each of the above cutouts, where it makes sense):
1x straight channel: End cutouts (full/half)
2x straight channel: Side cutout (centered); end cutouts (full/half)
3x straight channel: Side cutout (centered); end cutouts (full/half)
Tip: Use two straight channels to create a channel with a fully enclosed hole in the middle.
half-open bridge: End cutouts (full/half), with the cutout on the taller end
Tip: Use two half-open bridges to create a bridge with a hole in the middle, spanning 1 grid unit.
full-open bridge: End cutouts (full/half), with the cutout on the taller end
Tip: Use two full-open bridges to create a bridge with a hole in the middle, spanning 2 grid units.
More variants can be easily added upon request.
Customization:
The FreeCAD source file contains a few parameters for customizing the cutout.
For even more customization, Pedro Leite on Makerworld has added experimental support for these kinds of cutouts in his Underware for OpenGrid Customizer.
