The main goal of the project is to create the best possible thermal and acoustic insulation.
I understand that it's cheaper to install an ugly IKEA box, but it's more of an ugly decoration than a real cover.
The goal was achieved. The double walls, along with the double-glazed window, do a great job. The printer is quiet (finally), and you can confidently print engineering materials without worrying about deformation because it maintains temperature very well.
For this project, you should use 300x200x3 mm Plexiglass and 16x M3*8 screws.
(I'll add adapters for 2 mm and 1 mm plexiglass later.)
You can use 35x furniture dowels or print them from the file attached to the project!

Top cover for the Snapmaker U1 printer. The basic concept features a two-piece, hinged cover that opens upward, allowing access to the top of the printer without removing and setting aside the large cover. I encourage you to support the project.
