Last changes:
25.08.2025 - Changed the shape of 'back shim, and 'inside tpu' - the tpu and the shim on the backside will no longer collide with the Core One frame.
29.08.2025 - Added alternative side panels with elongated screw holes for easier installation.
Attach polydryer and use it as a chamber heater, polydryer as any filament dryer has a temperature settings, you can set to one of three programs: 1 ~40'C, 2 ~50'C and 3 ~60'C, and it will try to rise the temperature to that level before and even during the print.
Important:
Print the Calibration panels first. Depending on the material used, the shrinkage of the filament can make the panels a lot smaller than expected. The expected dimensions of each panel are: 182.5mm and 133.5mm, if you can't measure them that precisely, attach them to the printer and measure the gap between them.
Lets say the gap between the panels is 2mm, that means your desired length is 365mm but the print is 363mm.
365/363 * 100 = 100,55% - that's the scale you should set for the panels at least in the long dimension.
Highlights:
Rubber air hole couplings.
Foldable and magnetic polydryer holder.
Magnetic hole covers for when not in use.
Fusion f3d file included if you need to mod it.
Needed:
- 4x 3x4mm round magnets 3mm wide 4 mm height - optional.
- 8x 5x5mm round magnets - for the hole covers - optional - will work even without them.
- 8x M3x14 to M3x16mm screws - for rubber couplers.
- 2x M3x25mm screws - for joining 2 panels together.
- 2x M3x30mm screw - to attach thick arm to the panels (2x M3x25 will also work) - screw in into the the arm from both sides.
- 1x M3x35mm screw - to attach thin arm to the thick arm.
- 4x M3x10mm screw - to attach the panel to the core one frame
- 15x M3 lock nuts
Printing instruction:
- ASA is recommended for the two panels. But PETG should be ok too.
If you struggle with rough top layer with ASA, slow down the printer (Printer → Speed → Speed:Top Solid Infill: 20mm/s Acceleration:Top Solid Infill: 400mm/s2) turn off the cooling at the 2.8mm layer - add custom GCode after slicing at that layer: M107, and add: M106 S20 for the 3.2mm layer, you can do the same for 6mm and 14mm layers - Print arms with 3 perimiters, small arm can be printed on its side without supports, large arm needs supports for the round end.
- Make sure your tpu is dry before printing - wet tpu won't be dimensionally accurate and will make inserting and removing the polydryer difficult.
- Don't screw in the parts to tightly, the rubber shouldn't show any depressions.
- Watch out for polarity when installing the magnets. Use the pictures on how to properly align magnets for the panels and covers - the polarity must be correct for all 8 magnets for the covers to work properly!
