This is an updated Belt Deflection Tester, designed to be used with closed-end springs. The intent is to measure how much force the nozzle drag must impart into your print before it tweaks over, and likely fails.
The springs I used came from McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/3630N113/ however any spring will work, as long as it's shortish (20-30mm) and you know the spring constant. I figure it'll mostly be used to test belt improvements, so the biggest indicator is if you've improved or not.
