The little hooks from my original Fairphone 5s back cover have been breaking off one after another:
So I designed a replacement that is also removing the camera bulge.
Printing Instructions
I used PETG for the part, as it is rugged, robust and sufficiently flexible to allow snapping the cover on and off many times. I fear PLA might break off too easy. PC or PA might work as well though, but I haven't tried.
I printed the cover flat on its back to get the textured bed imprinted on it. I tried to print the first layer as hot as possible which made the printing lines almost completely vanish. Even for the rest of the print I kept the printing fan to a minimum, so the layers would properly fuse together. I raised the printing temp back to maximum for the material for the last 5 layers again and shut the fan off, to get maximum strength in the hooks. They are not printed in the ideal orientation for durability, but they seem to be strong enough.
I used a 0.4mm nozzle with 0.15mm layer height.
Maybe someone wants to try printing this in 45° orientation?
