Lockheed S-3 Viking Kit Card

The Lockheed S-3 Viking was a twin-engine, carrier-based anti-submarine warfare aircraft used by the United States Navy from the 1970s until 2009. Known for its versatility and long endurance, the S-3 carried advanced sensors, sonobuoys, and torpedoes to track and engage submarines. Over time, it was also adapted for roles such as surface surveillance, aerial refueling, and electronic reconnaissance. With its distinctive high-mounted wings and quiet turbofan engines, the Viking became a reliable workhorse on U.S. aircraft carriers, serving effectively for more than three decades.

Printing Info

There are two versions you can print, one with langing gear and foldable wings and one without, both with and without a sprue. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!

Building Info

If the landing gear isn't balanced, carefully bend the hook up or down. The foldable wings are only flexible to some extend. Folding and opening too often might result in the wings breaking. If you want to keep the wings folded, carefully heat up the seams and hold the wings in position till cooled down, similar to the winglets at my other models.
