Modern Comet Nativity (Solid Print)

A modern, minimalist Nativity designed as a single solid object for easy, reliable printing.
This version features the Holy Family with the ox and donkey, unified by a comet-star structure where the star’s tail becomes the main support down to the base—no floating elements, no separate arch.

The shapes are intentionally smooth and contemporary, with soft volumes and clean silhouettes. The goal is a calm, elegant Christmas decoration that looks great in a single color and prints without drama on most FDM machines.
On Printables you can find many nativity interpretations; this one aims for a more modern, sculptural feel while staying practical for home printers.

Printing tips

• Layer height: 0.20 mm

• Material: PLA (recommended)

• Infill: standard is fine (the model is conceived as a solid-looking piece)

• Supports: Enabled

  • Prefer organic supports if your slicer offers them

  • Place supports mainly under the comet tail and any small overhang transitions

• Orientation: print on the flat base

• Scaling: if you already set a target size for your display, I suggest keeping the original model scale to preserve proportions and stability.
