The original model didn't fit well with my cm3000 modem, specifically the cable hookups. so rather than just drill a hole like a normal person, I redid the whole darn thing in CAD. Now your modem can gain 0.02 horsepower from all the sleekness. Once mounted, the bracket is completely obscured by the highspeed low-drag modem. If anyone catches a glimpse of your 1991 stealth fighter's bracket, it's already too late... I mean it is angular and weird looking just like the modem it is delicately cradling next to the wall, so it doesn't stand out. (It was legitimately difficult to photograph because I printed it batman color).
Seriously though netgear, motorolla isn't losing any customers because their modem looks like a brick, why did you make this thing bad-guy-alien-ship shaped? It is the most annoying possible thing to wall mount or put on a shelf, only possibly surpassed by all of the other bad-guy-alien-ship shaped networking accessories you've put out. The right angle is vexed by your unfounded hatred of its very existence. Will you be releasing a line of baby sized handcuffs next?
