This is a small, twist-open keychain fire starter designed for portability and simplicity. After multiple design iterations, the final version uses a locking twist mechanism to keep everything secure while staying easy to open and close.
The kit is designed to hold matches and tinder, using a glued-on matchbox striker for ignition. While it may not be the most powerful fire starter available, it’s extremely practical to carry—and when used with proper fire-building technique, it works reliably.
Perfect for everyday carry, emergency kits, or as a quick backup fire source.
Compatible with full size or match box size matches! Just print the corresponding parts!

Assembly Notes
Cut to size and glue a standard matchbox striker to the designated area, add matches and tinder (dryer lint or cotton recommended), twist closed, and you’re ready to go.
