This was specifically made for this motor, but may fit others.
The intent is to both clean up the appearance as well as allow for a single hole ceiling mount using a toggle bolt, screw, or drywall anchor, without causing extra damage to your drywall ceiling.
It has a 2mm lip to keep the edge looking clean with the motor mounted.
The mount is 1/2" thick and will add 1/2" of "drop" to the ball and motor.
The centre hole is 5mm wide, and will clear a 3/16" bolt.
Because the factory screw holes on the motor are not precisely drilled, the idea is to use 100% infill and screw directly into the plastic using coarse threaded screws.
In the slicer I recommend using a modifier cylinder in the centre, 90mm diameter, and define %15 gyroid infill. This will save filament where it's not needed and print time. (See picture)
Parts you will need:
1 - 3/16" toggle bolt, or mounting method of your choice.
6 - 6x1/2" cap head screws for the motor.
Print suggestions:
.2mm layer height, 8 perimeters
100% infill around the edges
15% gyroid in the centre via a modifier cylinder.
Something stronger than PLA would be a good idea. I used ASA.
