I created this cage because I wanted to use my old hardware as a NAS but the case (NZXT H700) barely had any slots for mounting HDDs. It's also quite tedious to swap a faulty drive if there are a lot of SATA data and power cables in the way I made it hot swappable.
This cage was designed with the hardware I already had on hand in mind, so I'm not sure how useful a BOM is. It uses a lot of m3 (and some m4) heat inserts for structure (because I couldn't fit it on my printer in one piece) though, so beware. It's basically this per drive: 4x M3 heat inserts and 8mm countersunk screws, 0-3x M4 heat inserts and countersunk screws, 4-6x drive screws, 1x SATA to SATA panel mount connector, 2x 3x10 self tapping screws. These are the SATA to SATA panel mount connectors I used: https://aliexpress.com/item/1005007461202952.html
Because the complete cage doesn't fit on my printer, i split the side and front panels in a staggered way into two so the cut isn't at the same height all around. I printed everything in PETG because of the potential accumulated heat inside the case. For assembly you'll want to insert the heat inserts as well as mount the SATA connector first. I tested which of the M4 heat insert holes would line up with the 140mm fan cutouts in my case and only inserted the minimum amount needed.
