My own design I have been slowly improving over time. It has a pedal that opens lid, through the set of pulls. No glue needed, everything is on-click and hinges. Also there is a spring to ensure automatic return of the lid.
Recommended printing orientation is as it sits in stl. Take special care to support properly.
Also , to assemble correctly, follow the pictures and take special care to properly put the long pulley that goes on bottom from the pedal to back - this one can be placed improperly, causing the friction and mechanism getting stuck, hence I added a clear text with arrow orientation - refer to project file attached
