When designing my logo, I ran into an oddity in a print that was all honeycomb and thought what an AWESOME idea. Create a honeycomb included into my logo and a honeybee to go with it.
Fusions 360 and a couple days later out came this little guy.
He was much fun to design and even better to hold. He is a bit fragile in his legs so I wouldn't let small children play with him.
3D PRINTING SETTINGS
You will need custom supports and a raft on the legs because they are small an oddly shaped.
The stinger was just a piece of filament and not worth printing.
I printed the wings on a raft because they are so thin and as you can see, they came out very nice in Silk white.
After the first print I decided to create alignment pins in the body to ensure they are put together correctly. Easy to get confused.
