Ikea UPPATVIND Filter Activated Carbon Mod

I will describe some print settings I used, but just use what you would normally use. Most important is to pay attention to the infill of the cassette, because it has to fit the activated carbon in the main section and the front has to be small enough the carbon stays in the cassette.

Activated Carbon;

• Pay attention you choose acid-free

• I picked Aero-Clean from Clean Carbon 24, which is sized Ø4mm and available from eg Amazon

Hardware;

• 4x Brass inserts M3xD4.6xL5.7 used with,

• 4x Inbus M3*12 as the mounting pins.

• 16x Inbus M3*8 for the filter cartridge cover

• 2x M3 nut and

• 2x M3x8 to connect the middle of the frame together

Cassette;

• The cassette consists of 3 parts, it is important to line them up all at once on the print bed. Center all the parts on the bed, lift the infill up by 4mm, then move the frame 1.5mm toward the straight edge. So you will get the result as in the 3 picture. When they are lined up give the parts there own print settings.

• 4x Cassette_Frame, Infill 42% rectilinear, 2 perimeters.

• 4x Cassette_Front Infill 32% grid, 0 top and bottom layers, 2 perimeters.

• 4x Cassette_Infil Infill 5.5% honeycomb, 0 top and bottom layers, 2 perimeters.

Cover;

• 4x Cover, Infill 32% grid, 0 top and bottom layers, 6 perimeters.

Frame;

• Note: the frame parts fit together one way, fit them before you push the connectors in.
