Adapter plate with an enlarged opening to convert "EuroHunt Automatic Feeder Light" from corn to haycobs.
Created as part of a bachelor thesis in cooperation with Zoo Heidelberg (Geller 2025).
The feeder is still attached to the hopper by metal parts, so the stability of the printed part is not an issue.
Besides the enlarged opening, two modifications of the spinner plate are recommended to avoid bridging:
bend side walls outwards to approx. 45°
attach a long zip tie or similar flexible stirrer which reaches into the hopper (seen on the right side of the photo)
