When I was attempting to mod my original front panel to have a LED light bar similar to the Steam machine, the 4 front screw holes snapped off. So I decided I would just print a new one, and custom design it to match the Steam Machine as close as Possible, without causing issues with the front io.
I printed this model using the BambuLabs P1S with auto generated supports turned on. BambuLabs software is also the software I used.
Warning: I did use a lot of Gorilla hot glue to really keep everything in place. This is also my first model, so it may be rough, but I think it came out decent.
I used the original power button switch from the front panel, I cut the PCB for it in half from the reset switch so it would fit. I also used the original USB ports from the front panel, cutting the as well away from the HD audio which I did not reuse.
For the Micro SD card slot on the front, I used a internal USB head to 2 USB port adapter, and a MicroSD card to USB reader. Then attached a Micro SD card extension cable port to that Micro SD card reader and ran it to the front of the case.
The LED Light strip in the front I bought off of amazon, I found a very LED dense strip that was ARGB, and used its adesive strip to tape it to the front of the SilverStone SG13 case frame. To diffuse the light, I trap together a strip of wax paper, that I taped to the LED Light cutout, using ducktape and clear scotch tape to hold it there.
I used Hot Glue to hold the power button, usbs, and micro SD card slot to the front panel, which was now done, I think put the front panel back onto the case, securing it using the original front panel screws, and tried it out and it well has been working very nicely. The front io has been holding in nicely, no matter how many times I plug in a new USB device or insert or remove a Micro SD card. The Power button has also been working nicely.
The one thing I didnt add to mine was a LED light for the power button, instead just using the light from the LED strip to pass through the LED Power button hole cutout. If I did add one though, I would have just hot glued to infront of the hole.
