I have a closet desk setup and wanted to have a laptop dock for my Framework 16. I designed this to screw in under the my desk. I designed it with 5-slots for flat head screws but only suggest three per side. I made five in case someone stripped one slot and didn't want to move the setup, but wouldn't recommend doing all five at once... unless you want to.
For holding up the laptop, I recommend about 5 or so walls, 25% infill/wall overlap, and printing in PETG at least (for when the laptop gets hot and a bit of flexibility). It's got spacing in the back as you slide in the laptop, the rear feet should fall into place just nicely.
It there sits with spacing between the mount and the desk to allow you to lift the FW16 out of the slots and slide forward to pull it out.
You can definitely use this for other laptops, I can't guarantee which ones will fit, so test and try.
I've included a spacing tool that should align the pilot holes for the mount so that the laptop's front lip is "flush" or right in alignment with the lip of the desk where you position it.
I'd suggest about 38mm from outer edge to outer edge of the mounts. This will give you a bit of left and right clearance the FW16, but better that than too loose.
