I decided to finally add a hygrometer to my filament boxes, but most cheap models out there use LR44 batteries, which I avoid as much as possible. Models using AAA batteries are almost the same price as the full featured Switchbot Meter Plus Thermometer/Hygrometer, which also connects to home assistant and allows you to set alerts if the humidity inside your filament box goes above a certain threshold.
This model is a simple holder that allows you to "click" the Switchbot Meter Plus inside a frame, and then use double sided tape to stick the frame to the inside of your filament box wall with the display pointing outside. I use Home Depot 17G transparent boxes for this purpose, but any transparent storage box should work.
Printing instructions
I used a 0.4mm nozzle and layer heights from 0.2 to 0.28 without problems.
PLA is ok for this application.
Orientation is somewhat obvious. Use the slicers auto-orientation if needed.
I also included the FreeCad "source" file so you can adjust it if it doesn't fit your needs.
