The Spring Comb is a ready-made tool for performance tuning of foam dart “nerf” blasters. Featuring tines with graduated spacing, this device measures the spring’s gauge (AKA wire diameter) to determine the strength of similarly sized springs without color coding or tags that can wear off a spring. Measuring 140mm (5.5in) in length and 30mm in width, this tool also measures standard spring lengths and diameters, enabling reference to performance spreadsheets and estimation of performance from unknown spring and barrel combinations. Additionally, its small, flat design makes it portable, and multiple springs allow tuning on the field during games.
