Update: Created V3 that combines the 2 parts for the threaded shaft into a single part - I actually had printed it that way originally just joined the 2 parts in the slicer but no reason to have them separated.
Update: Created V2 that supports smaller diameter spool openings. I found that I was getting some that slightly smaller then 53mm and were just too tight to fit. I split the shaft into 2 pieces to all me to adjust the diameter easier.
Remove the stock spool holders from the printer. Remove the three screws and triangular cover from the spool holder. the spring rails will come off. Put them aside someplace safe - you can reassemble them if needed at any time. Slide the stock spool holder into the threaded shaft. It can only go in one way so don't force. Using #4 3/8 inch screws (or M3x8), screw the numbered caps onto the correct spool holder. Put the spool holder back onto the printer and use the nut to hold the spools in place when printing. For wide spools just flip the nut around and tighten it.
Be careful when removing the triangular cap not to let the spring holder pull out. If you remove it and keep the assembly standing upright, slide the shaft over it and then put the numbered cap on right away you wont have any problems.
