A grip for the Miyoo Mini Plus (MMP), based on the DualSense PS5 controller, which I find very comfortable to hold.
Two distinct variations are provided, Comfy and Roomy:
The Comfy variation sacrifices access to the bottom 3.5mm jack, microSD card slot and USB Type-C charging connector in favour of a more comfortable grip, great for using at home.
The Roomy variation cuts out a hole to provide free access to the bottom, but is in turn less comfortable to hold due to the small size of the MMP limiting available surface area when using the DualSense's shape. It should be fine as long as you don't squeeze it too hard, making the edges dig into your palm. This is better for using on the go if you intend to use wired headphones or a Bluetooth transmitter with the Miyoo (see pics for how I use mine when on the go).
If you only print one, I recommend the Roomy variant. Note that there are some slight variations from the model and the photos due to some adjustments made after publishing (wider stopper for the right side of the console in the Roomy variant, and making the top entirely flat for both variants).
The MMP is held in place by friction. The opening provides a snug and secure fit as long as your printer tolerances are dialled in correctly. If you're having problems, you can try to scale the model up or down in your slicer by some minuscule amount (e.g. 0.5-1%) to achieve a better fit.
I printed both variations with these settings:
Seam position: Random
Wall loops: 3
Top/bottom shells: 2
Infill: 10%, 3D honeycomb
Supports: Tree Slim, on build plate only
A brim may be helpful if you have issues with adhesion; if you print them with the suggested orientation from the 3MF files, not a lot of the model makes contact with the build plate and it leans quite a bit.
Each grip takes about 2 hours to print on a Bambu Lab P1S.
