Subaru Eyesight Headlight Sensor Dashcam Mount TypeS

I took the work done by https://www.printables.com/@AJQuick and did some adaptations, This I did several years ago, but never published. The model has been on my wife car since 5+ years without any incident

Since I did not wanted to use tape or glue to secure this to my wife's headlamp sensor, I wanted to create some way to lock it on such way that would be removable.

The adaptations I did were

• 4 “legs” with cuts to receive tie wraps (2 horizontal on the back)

• a removal of the blackvue adaptor that the original design has

• the addition of the proper “rail”to be able to install on it a Type S dashcam we purchased on Costco

I printed back then on my Prusa Mk3 printer on PETG (You need that thing to stand heat of the car on a sun day) and the parameters were like this

Nozzle / Layering

• Nozzle: 0.4 mm

• Layer height: 0.24 mm

• Initial layer height: 0.28 mm

Walls / Shell

• Wall loops: 5 

• Wall thickness: ~2.0 mm

• Top shell layers: 6

• Bottom shell layers: 6

• Top/Bottom pattern: Monotonic 

• Embed walls into infill: ON 

Infill

• Infill density: 25–30 % (30% if you want absolute rigidity)

• Infill pattern: Gyroid

• Infill line multiplier: 1.0
