This is a custom housing I designed for the 7-inch Hosyond Raspberry Pi touchscreen. I could not find any models out there for the Hosyond screen. My goal was to replace the included wooden leg stands with a cleaner, more functional solution and to create a dedicated Klipper pad for my 3D printer.
The housing is designed to sit at a comfortable viewing angle without obstructing any portion of the display, and all touch functionality remains fully accessible. The rear enclosure accommodates a 40 mm × 40 mm fan, with a recessed inlay that allows the fan to seat flush and operate as a puller for improved airflow. The design maintains full access to all Raspberry Pi I/O ports. The fan I used featured molded nut inlays, so I simply used the screws provided with the fan.
For my personal build, I plastic-welded the Raspberry Pi box onto the rear housing after wiring my components. However, I’ve also included an STL file with the box integrated, allowing you to print the assembly as a single piece if preferred.
Because the original mounting screws supplied with the screen were too long for this design, I included spacers to ensure proper fitment. You may alternatively use shorter screws if you want to eliminate the spacers. Heat-set inserts are recommended for the case mounting screws to improve durability.
I printed this on a Creality Ender-3 V3 SE using a 0.16 mm layer height with PLA and tree supports for the rear cover screw inlays, which produced clean results and reliable fitment.
KEEP IN MIND: If you print the back cover combined, it will need alot of supports and extend print time.
This is my first design created in Fusion, and while it’s a learning project, it has worked extremely well in practice and I’m very happy with the results. I hope you find it useful and enjoy building with it.
