I wanted a way to more quickly and accurately level the bed of my centauri carbon, using screws_tilt_calculate. The inside of the knob has 60 notches, one every six degrees, aligning with the minutes of a clock. screws_tilt_calculate gives you adjustment values in hours/minutes. So to adjust a bed corner by 6 minutes, you turn the knob 6 clicks in the specified direction.
To use this, refer to the images on this post. Slide the knob and base down towards the L, put the allen key tip in the screw, push the base onto the bottom of the bed, then slide the knob all the way up until it is fully seated. The stock allen key has some backlash so keep that in mind when turning it in a different direction for the first time.
The idea is that this does not stay on the printer. You print 1 set, and take it around to each corner to make adjustments. So there is no effect to the max Z travel distance. It is a bit of a pain to get it on, but it does help a ton with accuracy, and takes me less time overall to tram/level vs doing it by feel.
I designed and printed mine in ASA with an X/Y shrinkage value of 99.36%. If you have trouble, you may need to adjust the scale a smidge, as my shrinkage calibration could be slightly off.
Print settings:
Base:
2 walls, 10% infil.
The knob should have a small gap between the OD of the center piece, and the ID of the base and spin freely.
Knob:
Doesn't really matter.
The stock allen key should take a little bit of effort to force though the hole, but should slide firm but smoothly while in use. Any 2.5mm allen key that has a hex shank should work. (So no wera keys with the round shank and sleeve), the stock one just slides really nice.
The idea behind this was inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4743835 which i used on my ender over a year ago before i went solid mounted and have wanted something similar for the CC, cuz jeeze this thing is a pain sometimes.
