Overview
Step back into the golden age of the 8-bit revolution. This is an idealized 3D reconstruction of the MOS Technology 6502, the processor that brought computing to the masses. Whether you are a retro-computing enthusiast, a digital historian, or a game dev looking for high-quality "tech-display" assets, this model captures the utilitarian beauty of 1970s hardware.
Historical Significance
The 6502 wasn't just a chip; it was a disruptor. Designed by Chuck Peddle and a team of Motorola defectors, it debuted in 1975 for a fraction of the price of its competitors. It became the "brain" behind:
Apple: Apple I, Apple II, Apple IIe
Commodore: PET series, VIC-20, Commodore 64 (used the 6510 variant)
The Nintendo Entertainment System (Ricoh 2A03 variant)
Atari: 2600 (VCS), 400/800, 5200, 7800, and the Lynx handheld
BBC/Acorn: BBC Micro, Acorn Electron, Acorn Atom
