While I love making camera-specific bottom plates and really tiny options to keep in my bag, I've been meaning to make some 'big' versions for a while. These ended up still being quite a bit smaller than my favorite 'real product' arca plate (one made by op/tech which seems to not be available anymore?) particularly because of its low profile.
This design is meant to be a simpler, 'minimal' version of my larger plate design - giving you fewer options, but less to think about, and just enough to fit a wide range of uses. It has just one slot for the mounting screw, but it runs the full length and goes right out to the edge. It only has one strap connection point, but it's wide, and you can flip the whole plate to choose which side it's on.
This design also features a bit more clearance above the plate than I would use on my ultra-compact or device specific plates, which should give it a bit more compatibility with devices where something sticks out in a way that makes attaching a clamp awkward. It's still less clearance than most standard arca plates have, for an overall thin profile.

I designed this around these screws https://www.mcmaster.com/91792A535/
They are 1/4" 20 screws with a 3/8" long shaft, a 0.144" long head length, and a 0.492" head width.
(well, actually, I got https://www.mcmaster.com/91792A533/, which is the same but slightly shorter, and every camera I've tried it on would have worked better with the 3/8" shaft version, so...)
You might also want to try some non-adhesive friction tape to prevent slipping and rotation.

I have been using 3d printed tripod plate + strap connector combos for years with no problems, but ultimately the safety of your gear is up to you, and I take no responsibility for any damages caused if your copy of this design breaks or does not work with your gear.
