Eye-Level Webcam Stand for Anker C200

I’ve always disliked how webcams are positioned on top of laptops or monitors. When the camera sits above the screen, it’s impossible to look someone in the eyes while also looking into the camera. Instead, it always looks like you’re looking slightly downward. The ideal camera position is directly at eye level, centered on the monitor.

My monitors are already positioned so their centers align with my eyes, but I couldn’t find a 3D printed camera stand tall enough to position my webcam correctly. So I designed my own.

This stand raises the Anker C200 to the correct height and allows horizontal positioning so you can align the camera perfectly with the center of your screen. My setup uses a height of about 45 mm, and this design supports adjustable heights between 30 mm and 50 mm.

Model Overview

This design consists of three main parts:

1. Anker C200 Connector
A custom-fit mount that securely grips the webcam and matches its curved underside for a precise and stable fit.

2. Lattice Base
A stable base with a rectangular lattice structure that provides excellent strength while minimizing filament usage.

3. Extendable Middle Section
A vertically adjustable extension that determines the final camera height. Height is adjustable using an M3 screw, allowing fine tuning to match your exact eye level.

Hardware Required

  • 1× M3 screw for height adjustment (might want self-tapping if you are only interested in a single height setup)

Customization

SolidWorks files are included for:

  • The extendable middle section

  • The Anker C200 connector

These files allow you to easily adjust the height range or adapt the connector for other webcams with similar geometry.

A SolidWorks file is not included for the base, since I did not need to modify that portion for my setup.

Future Improvements

I may release updated versions in the future with:

  • A larger base plate to further improve stability

  • A longer lattice shaft, bringing it closer in length to the extendable section

  • Increased overall rigidity and adjustment range

If there’s interest in those improvements, I'll consider expanding the design.
