I work for a Large power transformer company and I've always wanted to have a small version of one of them on my desks. Sadly the models actually used by us are way to detailed and unsuitable for 3d printing so i took it upon my self to make a simplified version of one for my own enjoyment.
No actual company property was used, only publicly available photos and some feedback from colleges in their free time.
Printing instructions
Only the cover should require supports if all parts are oriented correctly. Depending on how small you print them the bushings and turrets (the long sticks and their seats) may need a brim. Use the example file to orient the parts for best pritablity.
You'll need 3 of the long bushings/turrets and 4 of the smaller ones. One small bushing should be scaled down in the vertical axis a bit to represent a neutral point.
I've manged to print this at a size of 20cm high and one at 10cm. Any lower then 10cm will be difficult i think. At this scale the bushings already need to be printed at 0.1 layer height to preserver the details.
