The Triskelion

The name and inspiration for this design is the ancient neolithic symbol of the triskelion – three clockwise spirals conjoined in the middle. Originally designed to work as a highly flexible phone holder, the larger version also works as a fantastic clipboard, binder, or tablet holder. Use it to hold plaques, plates, books, or anything flat you wish to display!
Included in the files are three sizes of holder - Standard, Wide, and Small. The small holder is ideal for phones, and includes two additional files: the Lifter, and TPU Pads. The lifter is designed to make the viewing angle on the small holder much more shallow, as well as provide clearance for connecting charging cables. The optional TPU pads are intended to be glued to the base of the lifter and offer some better traction on smooth surfaces, although the improvement is only minor.
For print settings, here are my recommendations:
Any rigid plastic can be used
Print flat on either side with full support enabled (removal is easy!)
Infill settings are not critical to function
The optional TPU base pads can be attached with PVA glue (elmers glue / craft glue / glue stick, it’s all PVA). Before gluing, use quality horizontal snips to cut any TPU strands left behind from the final tool lift, as any bumps will make the pad uneven
For aesthetics:
Concentric top/bottom fill produces an appealing pattern on the sides
Consider using paint-on seams to hide the line if attempting a smooth appearance. I printed with random seams to complement the “concrete” appearance of my filament
