I made this because i have no other alternative of venting fumes/exhausts from my printer since i live in an apartment. It is specificially designed to allow for a high airflow without much restriction. There are some other designs out there but they all either restrict airflow to much or take way to long to print for my liking.
I split the model in 4 pieces and simply joined them together with CA glue and some duct tape. A bit tricky i'll admit but it works with some steady hands and patience.
I vent by attaching the hose to a Smartmi P1 airpurifier which creates a great airflow and is easily controlled through an app. Check my other models for the adapter to said airpurifier.
The reasons as to why i don't simply attach the hose directly to the printer are:
The printer fan is WAY to weak
It creates a cold draft making ABS very hard to print (and ABS is kinda the point why i'm doing this)
This solution may not be the prettiest but it actually works great! I've even tried a temporary solution of bulding a box around the printer and purifier with the hose going through a hole in the top and i could print ABS in my living room of roughly 20 square meters without even noticing the slightest smell!
...and yes i know i need to clean my windows....it's just so boring!
