A parametric OpenSCAD model for creating your own tablet (or other device) cases.
I bought a cheap Android tablet off a big online retailer only to discover that a case wasn't available for it, so yet again the 3D printer came to the rescue. But I decided that instead of making it just for this one tablet that won't be available in 3 months, I would make a design that I could just tweak for any subsequent tablets that I might buy.
When you load the OpenSCAD file, you will see all of the parts of the device that can be modeled. Using a good metric ruler (I've had bad ones) and a pair of vernier calipers, take the measurements of your device and plug them in. The required dimensions are documented thoroughly at the top of the file.
It has the option of generating a honeycomb backing if you want to save material or just like the look of it.
The model in the pictures and in the SCAD source is for a "TAB P10" device. I printed mine in black TPU Shore 95A with 0.2 mm layers, 15% infill (to promote squishy edges), and supports. This took about 5 hours to print on my Bambu P1S. If I had some on hand, I probably would have chosen a Shore 80A-90A hardness just to make it more malleable.
