Simple Self-watering Seed Starter

Introducing my very first 3D model! This is a fully 3D-printed seed starter kit with a self-watering system. I designed it to make the process of germinating seeds as simple and hassle-free as possible.

The design includes 4 individual planting spots. The main feature is the removable bottom in each pot. This allows you to easily remove your seedlings for transplanting without damaging their delicate root systems. Simply push up from the bottom, and the plant will come out with the soil block completely intact!

How it works:
The principle is very simple: water is poured into the main base tray. Through special openings in the pots, it travels up to the roots as needed. The soil stays consistently moist but not waterlogged, which is perfect for seeds.

Assembly and Usage Instructions:

1. Print all the parts.

2. Insert the removable bottoms into the main pots from below. They should fit snugly but be easy to push out.

3. Place the assembled pots into the main base.

4. Fill the pots with soil and sow your seeds.

5. Pour water into the base tray until it reaches just below the bottom of the pots.

6. Enjoy the process!

Printing Recommendations:

• Material: PETG (more moisture resistant) or PLA.

• Layer Height: 0.2 mm.

• Infill: 15-20%.

• Supports: Not required.
