A parametric bottle cap generator with option to include a customisable spout/pourer.
I love Steve's Parametric Bottle Cap / Jar Lid and I'd been generating caps and manually adding spouts to meet my requirements. I've become familiar enough with OpenSCAD now to tweak the OpenSCAD script to make things easier for future me.
Changes include the ability to:
- Option to cut the preview in half for visibility while designing - render ignores preview cut
- Set top or bottom of the lid to measure the thread from
- Option to add a customisable sealing ring inside the cap (like the ring in PCO caps)
- Option to add a customisable pourer/spout, breather hole and cap for the spout
V1.8: Automated preview and render qualities, automated removal of preview cut when rendering, moved breather to outside of cap, added customisation for grip ridges around cap, added epsilon to remove preview rendeer artifacts
I've included some example .stl pourers and some example parameters in the .json file.
Default parameters are for a PCO 1810 cap with a pourer and cap with the preview cut turned on.
