Introduction:

This mod is for the Prusa Core One L only. I designed this to be printable on the Core One L. I wanted a storage solution for the tools that the Core One L comes with as well as space for other things without using the side recesses since I plan on upgrading to the Bontech INDX when that becomes available.

Hardware Required:

24x M3 x 0.5mm thread, 10mm long (I bought torx heads so I could use the screwdriver that the printer comes with, but you can use any type)

16x M3 x 0.5mm heatset insert (Amazon)

8x M3 x 0.5mm nuts (Mcmaster-Carr)

Instructions:

  1. Print all of the parts (Default configuration list below).

    • 4x CoreVault Feet

    • 1x CoreVault Bed Holder Left

    • 1x CoreVault Bed Holder Right

    • 2x CoreVault Storage Side Single Bed Holder

    • 1x CoreVault Storage Rear Deep

    • 4x CoreVault Bed Hardstrop

    • 2x CoreVault Bin Side Single

    • 1x CoreVault Bin Rear Deep

    • 3x CoreVault Bin Label

  2. Remove factory installed feet and adhesive from the bottom of the printer. DO NOT THROW there away as you will use them in the 3D printed feet. You should see two holes that the feet covered up. There are the holes that we will secure the CoreVault Feet to.

  3. Install 4x M3 x 0.5mm heatset insert into each Core Vault Feet.

  4. Install 4x CoreVault Feet onto the printer using 8x M3 x 0.5mm, 10mm long screws and 8x M3 x 0.5mm nuts.

  5. Install the CoreVault Bed Holder Left and Right to the CoreVault Feet below the Core One L display using 4x M3 x 0.5mm, 10mm long screws.

  6. Install the CoreVault Storage Side Single Bed Holder to the CoreVault Feet using 4x M3 x 0.5mm, 10mm long screws.

  7. Install the CoreVault Storage Rear Deep to the CoreVault Feet using 4x M3 x 0.5mm, 10mm long screws.

Additional Notes:

The Rear Deep Storage can fit up to 2 filters for the Advance Filtration Unit.

If you don't want or can't use the Rear Deep Storage, then you can use a blank cover. You can print the cover with no top or bottom layers and just infill to create patterns.

Printing and Filament:

Any filament and print settings that you deem strong enough to support the printer. I printed mine in Prusament Galaxy Black and Prusa Orange PETG with 4 perimeters, 8 bottom layers, 9 top layers at 0.20mm layer height with 15% grid infill.

Remixes:

Step files of some of the parts have been provided to allow you guys to customize the storage sections to your specific needs. Feel free to make your own and share!

Future Plans:

  • Multiple Bin Panel versions

    • Side Storage with 1 Deep bin (no Deep Rear Storage)

  • Push Button Build Sheet Holder (like this)

  • Bins with adjustable dividers

Known Issues:

  • I did see some lifting on the Side and Rear Storage when I printed in PETG. I did not see it with PLA. I made some tweaks that should help, but haven't confirmed.
