K1 Variable Height Mount (Remix of anavrin72)
This is a remix of the excellent model by anavrin72, updated with several quality-of-life improvements and better adjustability for the K1 platform.
Key Changes:
Relocated Mounting Point: Moved from the rear carriage to the fan screw for better stability and easier access.
Improved Cable Management: Integrated new cutout slots for easy wire routing.
Variable Height Adjustment: Added a vertical adjustment range to accommodate various nozzle and hotend stack heights.
Calibration : This mount allows you to precisely dial in your offset to get the Regular and Tap functions working perfectly. It successfully auto-calibrated both the regular drive and tap current at 16. If you need a bit more overhead, you can safely push the tap current to 17.
Note: If you are having trouble getting your Tap dialed in, try adjusting the physical height of the mount slightly and re-calibrating.
Compatibility & Testing
I have verified this mount on two separate K1 printers. It is designed to work seamlessly with:
Hotends: Optimized for the CHCB-OT hotend.
Nozzles: Tested across a wide variety of stack heights, including Bondtech CHT MK8, Bimetallic, and standard Brass nozzles.
