I got a bunch of (Free) tiny 250gr spools from chinese scammers but since those won't work with most auto-filament-feed systems I needed a way to re-spool the filament on regular 1kg spools.
I don't need it to be tidy only to be on spools compatible with my feeding system.
The other filament winding tools have like a gazillion over engineered pieces for something I don't think I will be using too often. I had to design something tailored to my needs.
No supports required.
You can generate a ton of torque with the crank so be careful as you can break the threaded shaft while tightening the spools with zero real effort, use more infill and at least 4 walls for the shaft to avoid problems.
The spinny bits can be hard to get loose.
Printed with ABS, PETG/PLA should also work fine.
