ikea kallax door fronts

 This is my first attemp at designing something from scratch, so please be gentle lol.

 I have taken inspiration from a design i saw by Josh Makershift for Kallax door fronts but wanted to re design it from scratch with a few points in mind

 1- Reduce filament usage

2- Remove the border surrounding the doors to give a flush type fit

3- Create a hinge that could be easily added to door fronts by using standard filament as the hinge pin

4- Create a totally custom door front that could take 136.80 x 136.80 x 2mm panels which could be swapped out

5- Hinges are designed to be double sided taped to Kallax unit

6- Customizable panels are currently designed to be double sided taped in place so they can be removed.

7- Panels are now held in place with push in tabs ( no need for tape or glue )

8- Hinge now has holes in for screw fix if double sided tape is not enough.

9- Hinge connector added to version 3

 The hinges are held in place with standard 1.75mm filament, the hinges can then be double sided taped to the kallax unit.

 The door handles help to keep the doors from seperating from each other and are designed to be tight fit.

 The file contains everything you need to try out out a complete unit including 5 different panel designs

 The door fronts themselves are handed so i have also highlihted these in a different colour in the file. ( in essence you only need to print 2 of each hand for a complete set.

 The blank panel design allows for you to add text / SVG or other designs to your panel and it could even be a Lithophane or a hueforge style panel.

As long as the panel finishes at 136.80 x 136.80 x 2mm.

 I am also looking at adding a mechinism to the back of the door front which would hold the panel in place so double sided tape would not be needed. ( this has been done and added to files )
