I needed a sleek, modern-looking case for a 10" touch display, but couldn't find one, so I designed my own. This case includes a fan mount, cooling ports, a stand, a monitor arm and extra internal space for future components.
Update: Finished all parts, printed and tested them for final release. Please let me know if any problems occured. If you are happy with the design leave a like and post your print.
For assembly, you will need:
A 10" touch display, I used this one: https://amzn.eu/d/3j8Gwi8
8x 1x8mm magnets (inexpensive and available on Amazon or similar stores).
M3x5,7x4.6mm heated inserts: I used these: https://amzn.eu/d/5dyGA80 If you use the stand: 16 pieces,12 without the fan If you use the monitor arm: 28 pieces in the shortest configuration (2 joints), 24 without the fan
For the stand assembly:12x M3x5,7x4,6mm treaded inserts – for every hole on the stand + backcover assembly 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the hinge to the back cover. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the hinge to the stand. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to attach the foot to the stand. 1x M5 x 30mm screw – to secure the two hinges and adjust the monitor tilt (use a hex nut to lock the screen angle if desired).
For the monitor arm assembly:24x M3x5,7x4,6mm treaded inserts - for every hole on the monitor arm base, extension, mounting and backcover assembly. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the 1.hinge to the back cover. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the 1.hinge to the arm mounting. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the 2.hinge to the arm mounting. 4x M3 x 10mm screws – to connect the 2.hinge to the arm extension. 4x M3 x 12mm screws – to connect the arm extension to the base. 2x M5 x 30mm screw – to secure the two hinges and adjust the monitor tilt (use a hex nut to lock the screen angle if desired).
If you want more than 2 joints you have to add 8x M3 screws and inserts for each extension part.

Printing tips: Supports are not required, but I recommend selecting an inner brim (and an outer brim for extra security) when printing the backplate, as the corners tend to warp.
Post-Printing
main assembly
Assembly instructions:
1. Mount the Raspberry Pi to the display, then insert the display into the case. Use standoffs when mounting the Raspberry Pi to the display, as direct contact with metal or other parts can cause issues. I 3D-printed my own standoffs, which work fine, but be careful not to make them too long.
Example with Rasperry Pi 3B+
insert magnets
2. Insert the magnets into the holes on the sides of the case and backplate. Apply a small amount of superglue to ensure a secure fit.
inserted magnet (only use very little glue)
**3.** Install the M3 heated inserts as shown in the design.
Fan installation
4. Route the wiring: If you're using a fan with pin connectors, you can use the provided cable channel. If your fan has a connector, route it through the vents.
5. Install the fan: Use appropriate M3 screws to secure it. Avoid using screws that are too long, as they may protrude into the interior of the back panel.
overkill 40x40x20mm fan
stand and monitor arm
Make sure that when printing the stand or any monitor arm parts no part is printed upright. Upright printed parts have the tendency to break under load. The joints are tight fit. If you have problems with assembly simply sand down the hinges till they just move freely. If the hinges are too loose they can't hold the weight good enough or rub at one place wich will result in faster wear.
print all parts sideways!
adding the inserts
Add the inserts to the printed pieces using a soldering iron eg. All inserts should be flush with the surface after insertion. Note: hinges don't get heated inserts. When you use the monitor arm note that the inserts in the base should be flat to the 2. plane in the screw hole so a screw can sit flat on top of it.
push the inserts in till they are even wtih the surface
stand/ monitor arm assembly
Screw in the hinges seperatly. E.g: First attach one part to the backcover and then to the stand. Afterwards you can insert the M5 screw and nut.
Don't overtighten the screws. The screws are tight when the head and surface of the part are level. For the M5 screws and nuts at the the hinges: tighten them till the desired/needed friction is reached.
assembly done right
when done right it should loock like that
