This simple adapter lets you replace the original clock battery on a fat PS3 (only tested with CECHA/B models) with a socketed CR2032. It locks in where the old coin cell holder went using the same method.

Parts:

Installation:

  • Insert coin cell holder into the top opening of the adapter and press all the way in, should snap in place.

  • Remove original cable/connector from the stock battery.

  • Solder cable to the appropriate terminals on the holder, remove the extra positive terminal.

  • Turn original battery holder in place to unlock and remove it.

  • Insert coin cell into holder.

  • Insert adapter where the original battery holder was, and twist to lock into place.
