I had a number of 3/8" plywood shelves which needed to be aligned at the outer edges. I figured a quick clip would do wonders, since the shelves aren't carrying much weight -- just an HO scale train.
If you're working with different thicknesses of ply, just scale this as necessary.

Notes:
