This is an external "backpack" mount for a Gaggimate Pro PCB that mounts to the vent holes via 2x M4 screws for a secure mount.

Feed your wires through the vents, possibly with some wire loom or wrap to prevent any chafing.

Extras Needed:

All Versions:

  • 2x M4x8 bolts and washers to attach the base. Possibly nylon to prevent any damage to the painted surfaces of the Gaggia.

  • Several pieces of wire loom or grommets or rubber tube to prevent chafing on the metal vents

    • Would recommend one piece or grommet for the HV wires, and other pieces for the LV wires.

    • See photos for examples of small grommets being used.

Version 1.0:

  • 2x M4 nuts to attach the base.

Version 1.1

  • 2x M3x4 bolts to mount PCB.

Version 1.2

  • 2x M3x4 bolts to mount PCB.

  • 2x M4x20-30mm coupler

  • 2x M4x16 bolts (If you use a 30mm coupler could get away with 6mm bolts)

Versions:

Base:

  • V1.2 Base: Has M3 screw holes like 1.1, however adjusted for clearance for SW2 Micro switch on the PCB.

  • V1.1 Base: Has M3 screw holes to hold the PCB for a more secure mounting.

  • V1.0 Base: Has plastic posts like the original gaggimate base to hold the PCB.

Top:

  • V1.2: Has holes for affixing the top onto M4 couplers to prevent unintended access to the HV wiring, thanks to the great idea from Khord

  • V1.1: Clip on, but with adjusted logo placement.

  • V1.0: Clip-on top cover

Print Tips:

  • Print the bottom with supports, both for the USB-C opening, as well as the lip in the corner of the PCB bay that holds the PCB in place. I used close supports, they just pop off cleanly for this model.
