This is a housing for a 20kg servo motor. It has a slot for a wire on each side, as well as mounting tabs for wood screws. It will fit a #10 wood screw, which I think is about a M5 wood screw if you are elsewhere in the world.

The mounting holes are designed to take an M3 heat insertable nut. Basically you buy these brass inserts, get a soldering iron, heat them up, and melt them down into the plastic. Then you have a permanently embedded metal nut in your otherwise plastic parts. M3 screws will fit comfortably through the servo holes as depicted. Here is the exact heat inserts I am using:

The exact servo I am using is this: Miuzei 20KG Servo Motor High Torque Digital Servo Metal Gear Waterproof for 1/8, 1/10 RC Model DIY Car Robot, DS3218, Control Angle 270 Degree (2 Pack)

It measures 20.2mm in one direction, and 40.2mm in the other direction. Body is 27.6mm high from base to the bottom of the screw brackets. I think this is universal for 20KG servos, but just in case I am wrong you can use these measurements to figure out if this will fit for you.

I printed mine in ASA and then dipped it briefly in acetone to bond the layers together and smooth the part. If you have good layer adhesion this is optional. It can be printed without supports.

Version History:

1.1: Made feet wider.

1.2: Made feet thicker and wider. Lowered arch for wire opening to 5mm from top instead of 3mm.

1.3: Added fillets to the sharp edges. Removed the holes on the bottom.
