Updated version of the base added for better plate adhesion.
I designed this for the competition to mimic the look of petals blowing off a flower. It’s a very simple, clean print,two colours only and no supports, but its effect is unmistakable.
The petals are light enough to move in a light breeze, creating a nice clacking sound and a "flowing" visual effect.
Printing Details:
No Supports: The angles are optimized to print cleanly without any extra plastic.
Two Parts: Just the flower head and the petal set.
Files: I've uploaded both the
.stland a.3mfif you want to swap colors easily.
I used fishing line to hang mine (as seen in the photos), but any thin string or craft wire works fine. Anything =<2mm width.
Disclaimer this is printed in PLA which is not recommended for outdoors as it is not uv resistant. If you have the choice switch to petg or any other available uv resistant filament.
